Open OnDemand
Open OnDemand provides a way to run computational jobs via graphical environments, such as a Linux desktop session or JupyterLab. Note that there are limits set on the amount of time, CPU, and memory a job can consume. Jobs that require greater resources should use the batch submission process.
To get started:
- Go to https://ood.bucknell.edu/ and login (NOTE: You must have a BisonNet account do login. Contact bisonnet@bucknell.edu if you are a Bucknell faculty/staff/student and need an account created).
- Go to Interactive Apps and select the application you’d like to use.
- Select the appropriate values and select Launch.
- Wait for the sessions to start and select the button that appears (e.g. Launch Desktop, Connect to Jupyter).
This will start your application on one of the compute nodes with the requested resources. Please be sure to exit the application or logout of the Linux desktop session when you’re finished to free up the resources.
